So I finally got to watch the much hyped flick, #BlackPanther.

One statement that resonated with me was the one made by N’Jadaka @michaelbjordan.

When he finally had the opportunity to overthrow T,challa @chadwickboseman he said: “I lived my entire life waiting for this moment. I trained a lot. I killed in America, Afghanistan, Iraq…I took life for my own brothers and sisters right here on this continent. And all this death just so I could kill you”. The dude had been preparing for years for that singular life changing moment.

His statement buttresses the need to prepare for whatever one desires to achieve.

Most people miss out on opportunities because they didn’t acquire the necessary skills and competencies needed to maximize the opportunity.

I woke up that day in 2011 not having a clue that that I will be making a TV appearance. I was meant to attend a book launch and that was what I had planned to do till she pinged me.
The producer of that show said I and revered management consultant would be interviewed on her show alongside Prof Pat Utomi.I had little time to prepare….but I had already gained unconscious competence in my area of expertise. I was able to deliver to the best of my ability.(Thank God)

Most people lose out on opportunities not because they don’t have what it takes to maximize the opportunities, but because they were not prepared when the opportunity came knocking.

How prepared are you for that next level you desire? Don’t just pray for opportunities, prepare.
