Zlatan’s much anticipated concert tagged ‘Zlatan Live’ may have come and gone, but there are some shocking events and occurrences at the show worth revisiting.

  1. Red carpet boycott

Temidayo Raphael a.k.a Zlatan is no doubt one of the most sought after Nigerian rappers at the moment. However, the red carpet of the show that was meant to be one of the side attractions of the event was boycotted by the likes of Jaywon, Blaqbonez and others who performed at the show.

The only prominent artiste that granted interviews on the red carpet was Sexy Steel. For an event of that magnitude, one would have expected the stars who were present to do red carpet interviews, sadly it was boycotted.

  1. Late start

Anyone who attend entertainment shows regularly in Lagos will tell you how show promoters and organizers don’t value time. When you are telling the story of entertainment shows in Lagos, you cannot ignore the issue of late starts. Zlatan’s concert kicked off at about 11pm and amazingly, the Zanku singer mounted the stage at 1.27am on Thursday morning.

  1. Turn out

As expected, the turnout of the show was massive. Zlatan’s fans came in droves, with an intense hunger for his songs. Clad  in a sparkling green suit, the versatile rapper mounted the stage like a king. As the band played the melody that heralded him on stage, the hall erupted in screams and cheers as fans stepped forward trying to catch a glimpse of the ‘Bolanle’ singer.

Ladies in the VIP section of the hall surged forward as Zlatan gripped his microphone firmly and said the words ‘Kapaichumarimarichopaco’.The response was rapturous as Zlatan quickly delved into his first performance of the night titled ‘Wake Up’.

If you ask me how Zlatan’s  performance went last night, what will I say?Though it was initially mired with a poor sound system and incoherence, Zlatan got back on track, owned the stage and performed like a maestro.
